Heidenau K60 Ranger

Description

A tire worthy of standing side by side with the legendary K60 Scout, The Heidenau K60 Ranger is designed and developed to be the off-road cousin in the K60 family. This is not a scout with different tread. Heidenau started from scratch with entirely new carcass and compound to maximize off-road performance. Extensive testing lasting over 250 000 kilometers helped Heidenau to refine its formula and features ensuring the K60 Ranger is a fit for its purpose as it could be. While the well-loved K60 Scout is designed for 60 percent on-road and 40 percent off-road, the Ranger is 30 percent on-road and 70 percent off-road.

Tread Design

The K60 Ranger’s new tread design has dirt and big bikes in mind. While the open block design should keep the tread from loading-up, the compound and the carcass should keep the ride stable on the street. With features intended to lend integrity to side blocks, the K60 Ranger should be at home on single track or highway

Fitment

The K60 Ranger is a tubeless tyre, however if it were to be fitted to a rim that requires inner tubes (i.e. spokes) then simply fit the appropriate inner tube.

• Alternating edge blocks (unique to the Ranger) ensures even power transmission and enhanced lateral climbing ability in ruts and single tracks.
• Chamfered rear profile edges for better dissipation of braking forces.
• Special support features within the tyre walls give a long lasting, stable driving behavior.
